When you're on route from Malibu to Santa Barbara on State Route 1, you pass through the coastal town of Oxnard, CA. It's a beautiful community in Ventura County that has a nice view of the Channel Islands from the shore. Whether you're getting ready to hike, fat tire ebike, trail run, or explore other outdoor activities, here has 4 scenic trails in the Oxnard area.
 
Route1#- Oxnard Bike Trail

The Oxnard Bike Trail starts at the ocean side of Oxnard Beach Park and takes you south past Hollywood Beach and Channel Islands Harbor. It's a flat, easy ride that's perfect for the whole family. Experience authentic SoCal vibes while coasting along this trail and soaking in the gorgeous ocean views. Channel Islands Harbor is an ideal spot to relax and refuel after a day of riding. Dig in to seafood, pizza, Indian or Brazillian food and more! Many of the restaurants offer outdoor dining, wine, or beer on tap.
 
Route2#- Silver Strand Beach to La Janella Park Trail

Silver Strand Beach to La Janella Park Trail is a 3.2 kilometer moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Oxnard, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels.
The trail is primarily used for walking, running, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.
Beautiful beach. Pretty quiet on weekdays. Weekends get busy but not so much that you should stay away. Great surf!

Route3#- Harbor Island Trail

Harbor Island Trail is a 9.7kilometer lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Oxnard, California that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this electric bike trail but must be kept on leash.
 
There are at least 9 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of West Wooley Road at the northeast end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved concrete and smooth. It is typically at least 5 feet wide. The whole trail is estimated to be in the gentle (3% or less) grade category. This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or stroller users.
 
Route4#- Bubbling Springs Trail


Bubbling Springs Trail is a2.1 miles heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Port Hueneme, California that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, bird watching, and road biking and is accessible year-round.
 
This route follows a concrete bike path down to the ocean on the Bubbling Springs Greenway.This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or stroller users.  There are several road crossings necessary to fully navigate the trail, so please use caution.
 
There is 1 designated accessible space in the paved parking lot off of South J Street at the north end of the trail. It is van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved concrete and smooth. It is typically at least 6 feet wide. The whole trail is estimated to be in the gentle (3% or less) grade category.
