More people in California are buying electric bikes to combat record-high gas prices. The electric bike market in the US has seen a recent boom in sales, particularly in California.
Ontario, Calif. — As gas prices hit a new record every two weeks, more and more people are turning to more fuel-efficient methods of transportation, such as electric bicycles, specifically those with a more capacity battery （as 20 Ah） and longer-range bikes.
Peter Wen, Magicycle's dealer in Ontario CA, is experiencing the surge in e-bike sales first-hand as he can barely keep up with demand lately.
“In the last year, we decided to get into some of the ebikes for sale and it completely blew up,” said Peter. "Traditionally, for 17 years, we have been a gasoline dealer, but every day we open the store and people come for more and more fat tire electric bikes."Peter thinks people turn to fat tire electric bikes for sale because they cost just pennies compared to the amount people pay to get around in a gas-powered vehicle these days.
The US national average price of gasoline per gallon was US$4.32 today. Depending on your car, that could take you 20-50 miles.
But on an electric bike? That same $4.32 will get you over 2,000 miles. That's because it's ridiculously cheap to charge an electric bike and they're ridiculously efficient. You probably won't even notice a difference in your electricity bill compared to owning an electric bike; they simply use hardly any energy. Some have even given up cars altogether in favor of electric bikes, saving tens of thousands of dollars. For example, a housewife in San Francisco calculated that over seven years she saved $50,000 by switching to an electric bike.
Therefore, a long-range electric bike can take you further and save you a lot on your living costs right now.

Long-range ebike expert’s new battery
The new Magicycle Cruiser Pro includes a large 52V and 20Ah LG battery with 750Wh of capacity has longer range than the existing Magicycle Cruiser, which we’ve seen before.
Magicycle claims a range of 50-75 miles easy-going pedal-assist riding using the cadence-based pedal assist sensor might get close to that, but the throttle will surely burn through that battery much quicker.
Even if the range claim is a bit lofty, that’s still a much larger battery than we see on average e-bikes in this class.
Magicycle Cruiser Pro Re-upgraded and adjusted the motor that improves upon the hub motor in the previous Magicycle Cruiser with better heat resistance and is said to offer better longevity. The 750W motor puts out over 96 Nm of torque and propels the bike to a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h) out of the box.
